When Will You Die?

How Will You Die?

I became a doctor and healer in response to suffering trauma passed down to me from generations past and present. I thought I had more time to heal myself and help those around me. In 2025, my dad died. He was euthanized in October just before Samhain after suffering global brain damage. I am currently a second-year resident at a medical university in Los Angeles and was on a tour around the world to have fun and help underserved Tibetans and Nepali people. I received news that he was in the ICU 1 week into my medical mission and had to rush back home to the US. I regret that I was not able to help my dad. I'm 29 and he died at age 57. My little brother just turned 26 and my mom from Japan is 55. You never really know when you will die but you can take steps to prevent and prepare for death.

Who Will Be There When You Are Dying?

We had a small wake for him. No funeral. It was me, my boyfriend of 10 years, my little brother, his girlfriend, and my mom. That's it.

Now my dad is a phantom watching over us and guiding us to make better choices in life. Forgive. Resolve your resentments. Have mercy. Be compassionate. Heal your anger and rage and put it towards something good instead of hurting yourself and those around you.
